What would you suggest as a Gift for a Pre-K Teacher this Xmas?
Dec 4th, 2009 by admin
Im looking for a great gift idea for my sons Pre-K teacher. This is his first year with her and i know he likes her vey much. Any Suggestions?
A Christmas ornament that says "A+ teacher". Apple anything. Candles are usually good. Gift certificates are always nice — if you know where she might shop or eat.
Gift certificates are definitely my first choice.

I have been a pre-school teacher for almost 10 years.
Two weeks in Florida away from any children.
But, barring that, a fruit basket or a gift card from the parents. I’m assuming you are tyalking about a parent gift, not one from a pre-schooler.

Something personal for her. Bath salts, a scarf, a Starbuck’s gift card. Nothing about being a teacher; she’ll get that from all the parents that can’t come up with anything original.

I was a preschool teacher for three years, and, I can tell you, my favorite gifts were the giftcards. I don’t mean to sound greedy, but they really are the best. A "#1 Teacher" trinket is sweet, but a free dinner at the Cheesecake Factory is sweeter. :0)

how about something he could make him self that says #1 teacher.

Take a picture of your child and the teacher together. Have yoru child make a frame for the photo that shows his/her enthusiam about the teacher.
This is not only low cost but it will reflect your child’s personality and their memories together, long after your child has left the pre school.

I love gift cards- even a $5.00 starbucks card- But please NO chocolate or mugs or ornaments or anything saying teacher on it! How much chocolate can a person eat?

I think since Teachers are up so early in the morning, a nice cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts would be nice. Try giving her a Gift Card for Dunkin Donuts as a Holiday Gift. I would’nt give her something of Christmas as she may not celebrate this holiday.

I know this is expensive… a digital picture frame. Seriously though, how about a nice scarf?

I think teachers appreciate something that the child has actually MADE. Try letting your child make something out of that dough stuff that hardens such as a snowman or animal. It would mean so much more!

I am a preschool teacher and I have a million mugs, ornaments, etc… I love when I get a gift card to a discount store or teacher store, that helps me not to spend so much of my own money on school stuff.

How about a coffee mug saying "World’s Greatest Mom" since you have delegated that role to the teacher?
